Thursday Afternoon and the sun has made an appearance now for two consecutive days! Things are starting to look up! Tomorrow is promising to look even better! But Saturday... Well, lets just say, we'll all hope the weather-people keep up their (non) winning ways of late and that their forecast for Saturday's rain and wind is as off as last Saturday's forecast!
Our team numbers have indeed improved as have our donations and you all have done an outstanding job. Everyone, please if you are sitting, stand-up and take a bow! Thank you all very, very much! Group hug - there, how was that? Good.
Now, just as a reminder, for Saturday morning everyone coming out for the WALK should plan to be there between 9:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. for a team picture. IF I am correct and memory serves me correctly, our team is scheduled to lead the WALK this year because of our incredible numbers last year also! So, that means we really can't be straggling behind and dragging in late or the "powers-to-be" will simply slip in the team ready-to-go in our stead! So lets not let a little shut eye get in the way of all you have achieved, you deserve this so be proud!
The Maryland Chapter will be awarding prizes this year at the WALK for the team with the best, craziest, loudest Team T-shirts, wacky posters or just best posters, biggest posters, makes the most hoopla, etc. You get the point I think. Although we have not organized anything as a team (oops, that was me I am sure!)if any of you are compelled to do so (posters or the like) feel free and whatever the society is giving out - congratulations! But for now, I am content to continue my efforts with increasing our team membership and donations to the MS cause!
So, in that light, I would like to end today's update with a big congratulation to everyone on a great job thus far and ask that after our seventh inning stretch that you please continue to reach out to whomever else you can for the next day and a half for team members and last minute donations!
Please have folks register online at the MS site: http://main.nationalmssociety.org/goto/im1rickru2 and continue to check the blog (here) for any last minute updates; http://mswalk07waldorf.blogspot.com
Thanks again everyone and God Bless and enjoy our splendid rays of sunshine!
